Haute Maurienne Vanoise Cyclo Challenge | Val Cenis
The Haute Maurienne Vanoise Cyclo Challenge is an essential summer event for all cycling enthusiasts (road bikes, mountain bikes, gravel bikes, and e-bikes).
The concept: Throughout the summer, the event offers 6 cycling climbs on roads entirely closed to motorized traffic and reserved for cyclists. It’s the ideal opportunity to climb legendary passes and wild roads in complete safety.
The challenge (Optional & Free): A stamp card system at the start and finish allows participants to accumulate their elevation gain ($D+$) throughout the stages to validate objectives and win prizes:
- Bronze Level: $1,000 ext{ m}$ of cumulative $D+$.
- Silver Level: $2,000 ext{ m}$ of cumulative $D+$.
- Gold Level: $3,000 ext{ m}$ of cumulative $D+$.
The 6 featured climbs: L’Iserane (Col de l’Iseran), Col du Mont-Cenis, the Orgère climb, Plan d’Amont (Aussois), Valfréjus, and the Bellecombe climb.
